I've almost hit the 60k mark on "Confessions," though I fear any further forward progress may not be in the cards until I resume my regularly scheduled schedule in January. Still, it's another one of my New Year's resolutions to find more time in my day for writing, in addition to whatever time I spend commuting on the bus or train. The novel might just be at that point where the rest of it has to come out in one big tsunami of verbiage. It's like when you were little and you had a loose tooth hanging from your gums. Sure, you can wait and it'll fall out in its own sweet time, but how much better it was to yank the darned thing out right then and there so you could stick it under your pillow and get that silver dollar that night. That's exactly how I feel about "Confessions" now - all I have to do is tug, and then I'll have a novel, although it remains to be seen yet as to whether I'll be getting any money for it anytime soon.
