when your first patron of the year has a pole up his ass, or bad? I forget. At any rate, I'm here, back after a glorious 12-day helping of Being Somewhere Else. As much as it was good to get away, I have to say I am happy to return to what has become normalcy to me again, and not just because Harvard has functioning computers! Speaking of which, during a bout of insomnia last night I managed to get the laptop up and running again, so instead of immediately attempting to dump all of my programs back onto the hard drive (only to have the damned thing crash again and leave me with nothing), this time I just let the machine be and surfed the web until the wee hours.
So needless to say, I'm already on my second cup of coffee, and it's not even 9:30 yet! I fear that this first day back, however welcome, is going to be a looooooooooooooooooong one...
