The Patriots are Super Bowl-bound once more, after their 24-14 win over the Colts. Their opponent will be either the Philadelphia Eagles or the Carolina Panthers, depending on the outcome of their NFC Championship game, which begins at 6:45 this evening. I'm rooting for the Eagles on that one, as they were my team when I was a kid living in South Jersey (they're still my brother's team, which will makes things interesting if they win - not Red Sox-Phillies World Series interesting, but fun nonetheless).
Well now I get to see the home town team play in the Super Bowl and watch the premiere of Survivor All-Stars, which will immediately follow the game. Producer Mark Burnett has brought back the past seven shows' most memorable contestants - including Pearl Islands favorite and pirate wannabe Rupert - to compete in a three-team rumble for another million dollars. This one is going to have a unique dynamic, as no one is really an unknown, which means some of the wiliest players - such as Richard Hatch, winner of the first Survivor - might get voted out early simply because their reputation precedes them.
Should be fun to watch, at any rate. Between the All-Stars and The Apprentice, I'm going to be getting more reality programming than I can comfortably shake a stick at!
