Resurrection.

My laptop is back from the dead. The voodoo priests at Best Buy's service center gutted the machine and replaced it with brand spanking new components (and perhaps some juju zombie powder), and so far it's been purring like a kitten. In fact, it's almost too quiet. This is how far down the ladder of trust I've fallen with my computer - a day back from the shop and despite the assurances of the blue-shirted juju people, I'm still expecting the next keystroke or java applet to bring the whole thing crashing back down. A man can't live this way! Well, at least I'm online again. And it only took the better part of 24 hours to reinstall all of my software!
