Who will survive?

In case you've been living under a rock the Survivor All-Stars have winnowed their ranks down to the Final Four, which means it's time for the thrilling two-hour season Finale starting this evening at 8 p.m. on CBS. Out of those who are left - Jenna, Rupert, Amber, and Boston Rob (a.k.a. "The Robfather") - I'm really pulling for Rupert to win, as I think he was booted out way too early out of the Pearl Islands game and has played both that one and this one with a good-natured integrity that is so rare in the game of the Survivor that it should be recognized at least once with a victory. However, I fear that Canton native Boston Rob is going to take it all this evening.

Had Jenna, Rupert, and Big Tom - who not only was backstabbed by the Robfather in last week's episode, but actually had the nerve to be surprised and indignant about it, like all the others betrayed by him before - thought to take out either Amber or Rob in the Tribal Council, they all would have been on equal footing for the Final Four. Now however reality television's cutest couple has a voting bloc of two, which will at the very least deadlock any elimination vote, and almost guarantee that Rob and Amber will be in the final three. If immunity goes to either of them, it's a toss-up as to who will get voted out first; but if Jenna or Rupert wins the other will most certainly be the one to go. Then that person must win the immunity challenge in order to advance to the final vote.

So it's an uphill struggle for either of the lone wolves at this point, who went along with the Rob/Amber alliance because it benefitted them for most of the game, but probably should have jettisoned one if not both of them a round or two back. But you never know (I'll have to miss the first forty-five minutes of the finale tonight, but I'll be eagerly watching after that - go Rupert!)!
