Writing update

I'm just under 15k on "High Tide"; moreover I'm within a few paragraphs of the end. I have to admit that I didn't see this ending coming until I was right on top of it - in fact, I was beginning to worry that the plot had gotten away from me. This means I'll be back to "Confessions" on Monday or Tuesday night! I've been thinking a lot about how the novel should end, and so I can't wait to take my protagonist into Act Three with both guns blazing and through to what I hope is a meaningful yet potentially open-ended finale. It won't be a cliffhanger by any means, but the book will definitely end with a new beginning of sorts, a taste of the journey to come.
