Mr. Blue Sky

After what seemed like forty days and forty nights of rain, on Friday morning the impossible happened--the sun came out again. The sky was so brilliantly blue that it gave me a headache, and the air was positively soupy with a bumper crop of tree pollen. The weather has inverted its past month of rainy weekends and cloud-free weekdays just in time, as the library will be closed during the long weekend and I've been dying to get a little bit of fishing in now that the stripers have arrived in force. And who wants fortysomething degrees and driving rain for Memorial Day?
