Okay, more like 122k minus a hundred and eighty words or so that I'm hoping to get around to scratching out between now and the end of the day. I've finally reached the end of Act Two, and already I can sense that the writing from here on in will be fast and furious as loose ends are resolved and the narrative threads pull taut at long last. That giddy feeling I've learned to anticipate when a short story of mine makes it to the home stretch is now starting to manifest itself for "Confessions"--when I actually finish the first draft of this novel, I'm going to be positively euphoric.
