Endgame

Not only did I reach the 153k mark on "Confessions" last night, but I also came to the realization that the novel was more or less finished. All that remains is one or two closing scenes and an epilogue and three years of writing the first draft will have come to an end. What a weird feeling, to be this close at long last!

I'm flying to San Antonio tomorrow morning for the American Library Association's Midwinter Meeting (all expenses paid by my employer, booyah!), so perhaps I'll finish this thing at 30,000 feet, or waiting for my connecting flight out of Dallas...
