Within the past 24 hours I've reached two significant milestones: getting up and over the 40,000-word mark on the fifth short story in Varonian Nights, and submitting my very first query letter to an agent for Confessions.
Needless to say I'm pleased as punch over the first and nervous as all hell about the second, but both are about progress. Not only have I been writing steadily again since this February (and now that I'm back in a groove I think I may be ready to give NaNoWriMo '08 a run for its money this November!), but I'm also now finally committed to the process of getting my first book published.
I'll be sure to let you know as the rejections roll on in!
