Back in business,

sort of. I've contacted the folks at Network Solutions about re-routing the oodja.com domain to my Comcast address, but since I not only forgot my password but neglected to update my email address with the registry, I have to fax written form and a photocopy of a photo I.D. before they can do anything at all for me. I guess it's good to know that if someone wanted to hijack my website it would be a real pain in keister for him or her to do, but come on, just reset my password and let me get on with my virtual life!

But you know, I'm sort of kind of enjoying the oodja.blogspot.com address. Maybe I'll maintain oodja.com as my "serious" storefront, just in case I ever get around to more than blogging and hawking cheap merchandise on CafePress. The only thing that truly sucks is that I lost a couple of irreplaceable items when Earthlink pulled the plug - a couple of short essays I had written in the summer and fall of 2001 and the web pages for Clem's Corner, my tribute site to a minor but beloved recurring character on the cult television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Of course I hadn't updated it in almost a year now, but it grieves me that the Corner passed away without my giving it a proper farewell.

Maybe I can dig some pages out of the Google cache? It's worth a shot.
