on "High Tide". I've just about reached the point at which things start to seriously go wrong for the story's protagonist, so it should be less set-up and more of the messy, awful action from here on in. Despite the fact that I'm enjoying every minute of this short story break, I'm now seriously looking forward to returning to "Confessions", as getting away from it has given me an idea or two that ties the action of the first and second acts very nicely to that of the third.
Would that I had more time for all of these ideas. It's like squeezing lemons by hand to make a pitcher of lemonade!
