Speaking of fish stories,

"High Tide" is up and over the 3k mark. As with every other short story I've written since last January (except for perhaps the first one), I fear that it will not remain short for long. It's the first story I've ever set in South Jersey - specifically the Jersey Shore - which means I'm finding that I have an awful lot to say. The real trick here will be knowing when enough is enough. Of course that's something I don't have to worry about until the first edit; right now I'll just keep pouring my Jersey exile heart out and loving every minute of it.
