We're in a blizzard watch here in the Metro Boston area, with a massive slug of frozen winter precipitation creeping its way up the Eastern Seaboard. Prognosticators keep upping the predicted snowfall amounts like they're raising in a no-limit stakes game of Texas Hold 'Em, and it currently looks like the storm will dump at least a foot or two on our doorsteps by the morning before continuing on with white-out conditions well into tomorrow afternoon.
This does not bode well for me getting to work, but it is a good omen for the Patriots, who will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in yet another postseason grudge match fought in the snow. Does that make this game "Son of Snow Bowl" or "Grandson of Snow Bowl"? Who knows. The winner will face the victor of the Eagles/Falcons game in Super Bowl XXXIX down in Jacksonville, Florida - a considerably more hospitable clime for a such a showdown.
