I've only just now become aware of the fact that this chapter I'm working on is the crux of the novel. Not only does it tie the past and present of the narrative together thematically, but structurally as well, as my protagonist makes a couple of important plot realizations that only become clear in hindsight.
I suspect that things will move rather quickly from here on in... is the end in sight at long last?
