The weekend approaches

Any guesses as to what I'll be doing?

(FYI, the picture is The Fisherman by George Bellows)

Actually, if you're in the general vicinity of Boston this weekend you might want to come on up to Cape Ann, as Gloucester will be celebrating the St. Peter's Fiesta (a.k.a. "The Fiesta") with a long weekend chock full of amusements, Italian pop music and Old Country standards, carnival rides, fried foods, and offbeat competitions such as the Greasy Pole contest and seine boat racing. The festival--which started on Wednesday--will continue through until Sunday, culminating with the blessing of Gloucester's fishing fleet by the local Roman Catholic Bishop. So stop on by and have a buona fiesta!
