I've returned to a normal writing pace on "Confessions," and I think I've almost reached the end of the chapter I'm working on. The next will definitely be the conclusion of Act Two, meaning that the end of the novel is finally in sight! Assuming an average of six thousand words per chapter, that would make the third act begin around the 118k mark. If it turns out to be as long as Acts One and Two I'd be looking at something like 175,000 words total, but I have a feeling that Act Three will cut to the chase, so I'm now predicting 140k as the final word count.
That means about 28,000 words (or 4-5 chapters) to go... maybe!
