I managed to scratch out five and a half thousand words for "Confessions" this month--not bad, considering that 90% of that was in the last ten days. As I predicted, summer school has given me oodles of captive time on the train between Boston and Cape Ann and the buses shuttling me around town from work to school to teaching to school to work and back again. The narrative is really coming together now, and all of the bits and pieces that I was worried about not quite fitting are finding their place in the grand scheme of things. I'm hoping that July will be a very productive month writing-wise, and that I'll be able to finish not only the chapter I'm currently wrapping up but the next one as well...
