More on the Google thing: in the comments of my previous post, MyManMisterC steered me towards this recent article in Fortune about Google and Microsoft. It seems that Bill Gates is currently running scared because the upstart search engine company has been luring away programmers and software engineers from his fold -- an ominous sign that Google is now interested in competing for Microsoft's share in the lucrative market for office applications and operating systems.
