Sun in the mornin' and the moon at night

(Bonus points if you get the headline reference)

The end of the year is customarily a time for taking stock, but I don't want to do much of that save to mention that for all of the bumpiness along the way 2005 has ended up rather well. I have a new job that I like, a hard-won MLS, the first draft of a novel that's a few thousand words shy of being finished, and -- best of all, perhaps -- pants that fit me.

I don't know what 2006 will bring me and my family, but here's to the future nonetheless. And a safe and happy New Year to all seven of my regular readers...
